100 GbE Switch Developed in Alignment with the SOSA® Technical Standard

The high-performance VPX6-682E Ethernet switch provides rugged Ethernet switching for the next generation of 6U systems. It is developed in alignment with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture® (SOSA) Technical Standard to assure interoperability with today’s latest VPX systems.

Supporting unprecedented throughput, performance, connectivity and low power operation, the VPX6-682E provides line-rate Ethernet switching for high-speed Ethernet traffic with both copper and optical connectivity.

The VPX6-682E high-performance architecture is suitable for low-latency, time-critical, and high-throughput data-centric applications.

A fully managed multi-layer Ethernet switch and router, the VPX6-682E supports an extensive range of network services including efficient multicast, flexible quality of service (QoS) and a range of security features. On-board management software provides a powerful command  line interface (CLI), SNMP, and web-based options for configuration and monitoring.

Backplane copper and optical connectivity supports a flexible mix of 1-lane (10G, 25G), 2-lane (50G) and 4-lane (40G, 100G) Ethernet configurations.

Three additional Base-T ports are also supported for simplified low-cost twisted pair Ethernet connectivity.

On-board optical connectivity simplifies systems design and allows direct optical ingest or egress from the switch. Combined with a net-centric features for data distribution, the VPX6-682E offers efficient data distribution for highly integrated multiprocessing systems.

Validated for deployment in the harshest environments, the VPX6-682E is available in conduction-cooled L300 ruggedization with 2LM covers as well as Liquid Flow Through (LFT) cooling and is suitable for high-reliability embedded ground, naval, airborne, and commercial/industrial applications.
