Curtiss-Wright Wins Best Paper at 13th Annual GVSETS Conference
The paper, entitled “Applying Open Standard Electronic Architectures for Ground Vehicles,” provided an in-depth introduction and overview of the advantages of MOSA open architecture solutions and the best practices for bringing new capabilities to ground vehicles.
Ruggedization of Electronics for Deployed Military Environments
Some environmental constraints for deployed military computing systems are operational temperature, humidity, sand, dust, vibration, shock/basic, leakage (immersion), steam and water jet cleaning, rapid decompression, contamination by fluids (e.g. oil, fuel, cleaning), nuclear hardness, and input voltage.
It’s Time: Time Sensitive Networking and Deterministic Networking
Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a set of Ethernet networking capabilities used to transmit time-sensitive data across standard Ethernet networks. Originally, TSN grew out of the IEEE 802.1 standard working groups on Audio Video Bridging (AVB) to make sure that independent networks streams for audio and video data arrive at the correct times to ensure synchronization.
