The DTS1X is a rugged, ready-to-deploy data-at-rest network attached file server that supports a 10 GbE interface, removable memory, and two layers of encryption.

The secure, small-form-factor DTS1X stores and protects large amounts of classified data on manned and unmanned vehicles, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft. The single device is size, weight, and power (SWaP) optimized, providing secure data protection that is ready to deploy in the most constrained environments. The DTS1X features dual National Security Agency (NSA)-approved CSfC full drive encryption at both the hardware and software layers.

The DTS1X is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) network attached storage (NAS) device for use in 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) architectures that demand high data throughput. Network clients can use the DTS1X to store sensor and maintenance data and retrieve mission and digital map data. The network attached storage device allows clients to capture, securely store, and retrieve files at fast throughput rates with two layers of encryption. Support for industry-standard NAS protocols like NFS, CIFS, FTP, TFTP, and HTTP enables clients to use different operating systems (Linux®, VxWorks®, Windows®, etc.) and central processing units (CPU) (Power Architecture®, Intel®, Arm®, etc.), which permits system design flexibility.

The rugged DTS1X is seamlessly integrated into network-centric systems and houses one removable memory cartridge (XRM). The XRM can be easily removed from one DTS1X and installed into any other DTS1X  providing full, seamless data transfer between one or more networks in separate locations (for example, from ground to vehicle to ground), providing quick data offloading.
