ITAR-Free Security for Classified Data
Aerospace developers face mounting pressure to deliver exportable, modular platforms that meet classified data protection requirements without triggering International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). One aerospace company looked to consolidate disparate systems by designing a single, flexible aircraft protection system that synchronized threat detection and response across the electronic battlespace. Making the solution accessible to a global customer base redefined how modern fleets defend against evolving threats.
The customer required a network attached storage (NAS) system that was ITAR-free, capable of handling a range of sensors and effector data, and ready for integration without custom development. Using approved encryption, the system had to protect classified data in flight and during transport between aircraft and ground stations. The NAS also needed to support multiple protocols for current and future aircraft programs and be available as a loaner for functional testing during trade studies before final product selection.
