Modernizing an ISR Mission with Secure 10 GbE Data Storage

A leading U.S.-based aerospace innovator supporting advanced ISR operations needed to enhance the capabilities of a high-resolution sensor pod mounted on a crewed, fixed-wing aircraft. Designed for long-endurance missions in contested environments, the pod plays a critical role in capturing and delivering time-sensitive intelligence. To keep pace with next-gen sensors and rising data demands, the company sought a rugged, secure, and scalable storage system capable of sustaining hours of high-bandwidth collection without compromising classified data.

The aerospace company needed a NAS device to accommodate the high-throughput data produced by next-generation 10 GbE sensors. With ISR missions generating extensive data sets, storage capacity had to start at a minimum of 10 terabytes (TB) and offer scalable options to support future operational growth. Security was another  key priority, as classified sensor and target data needed protection during collection, transit, and ground station analysis.
